My Top 5 Favorite Eco Sites
Today, I wanted to share with my readers some of the sites I visit on a weekly if not daily basis in my research for Sustainable Printing ideas. Whether it’s a site about paper, recycling or printing, the 5 sites listed below have great resources for everyone to learn more about going green.

1) Heidi Tolliver-Negro’s posts at the Inspired Economist – Heidi has been somewhat of a mentor to me, although she may not know it! Her posts at the Inspired Economist (a sub-site of Green Options Media) are about green marketing practices, and I have learned a lot by subscribing to her feed. She has years of experience in the print/marketing industry and a wealth of information available to help you and your company make responsible marketing choices.

2) What They Think - Going Green - The What They Think website is a fountain of information for all things print related. However, the blog Going Green deals specifically with green printing initiatives, ideas and resources. I have referred to a couple of their posts in my own, but this blog is definitely a daily read of mine.

3) Earth911 - While not related to printing, Earth911 is about reducing, reusing and recycling. You can research how to recycle just about every kind of material from metals and batteries to paper and electronics. They even have an easy to use recycling center location finder so you know where to go for all your recycling needs.

4) Print Finish Blog - I actually stumbled upon this site a few months ago, but have since subscribed to Garry’s feed. He has great information on all aspects of printing and relays it in easy-to-read posts. Whether you’re in the printing industry or a print buyer, Garry’s blog can inform you of something new with just about every post.

5) Treehugger - As the name suggests, this site is about eco-friendly living. While some of the articles and forum topics are pretty extreme green (like composting toilets), there is a wealth of information for sustainable practices in every facet of life. From technology and business to fashion and health, you can find ways to go green at home or the office all at one site!
Well, those are my top five eco-friendly sites. What are some of yours?
