Introducing My Blog

Published by mkissing under My Mission Edit This

Hello and thank you for reading!

Working for a sustainable company, I’ve been exposed to the processes, procedures and protocol of what it takes to maintain a corporate identity in relation to sustainable business practices.  I wanted to explore more about our industry (printing) and research what new technologies, trends and preferences are becoming more prevalent towards printing in an increasingly digital world.

I watched an A&E Biography special about the 100 most influental people of the past millennium several years ago.  Of course there were presidents, world leaders, musicians and activists, but the number one influential person was Johannes Gutenberg, the inventor of the printing press.  I watched this series long before I became a part of the printing industry, but even back then it struck me as a quite logical choice to be number one.

The purpose of my blog will be to find the  ways in which the print and copy world is having to adapt when more people and companies are becoming environmentally-conscious.  I will explore the differences of offset versus digital printing, the equipment and paper available to the industry and other facets to being a sustainable printer .  Even if you’re not a professional printer, chances are you still need things printed from time to time.  In my blog, you will find the tips & resources needed to help you select the best kind of paper, printer and methods of getting your project done in as sustainable a way as possible.

Thanks again for taking the time to read my blog.  I hope you’ll be back for more!
