A few weeks ago on Sustainable Printing, I wrote about Neenah Paper’s Do You Love Linen promotion. I signed up to receive some samples, and they arrived at my door less than a week later. I’ve been meaning to post my thoughts, but have not had the time to write about it until now. (more…)

I’ve recently started to dabble in social networking with Linked In. I’m quite behind the times right now without a Facebook or Twitter account, but you can see my Linked In profile here.
One of my LI groups is Girls Who Print, which is just a fun gathering of women from all areas of the print industry. One of the members posted a link to an article titled Electronic vs. Printed Communication: The Sustainability Battle, and I wanted to share it with you.

If you read Sustainable Printing last week, you’d know that I attended my first ever webinar. Decoding Green Paper was given by Paper Specs, and explained a lot of the different types of recycled and greener paper options now on the market. One of the items discussed was the bleaching process of virgin and recycled fibers. Here’s what I learned.

Today was a first for me. I attended my first webinar hosted by Paper Specs and sponsored by Neenah Paper. I was one of over 500 registered attendees, and it was quite the learning experience.
The webinar itself was Decoding Green Paper. The founder of Paper Specs, Sabine Lenz, discussed all the different paper certifications, labels, logos and acronyms we see so prevalent nowadays. There was just too much information to pass along to you, but here are some highlights of what I learned.

Just today, I signed up for a free webinar offered through Paper Specs and sponsored by Neenah Paper. Decoding Green Paper will dive into the world of paper options for eco-friendly printing. From defining all the acronyms (PCW, FSC, TCF, etc.) to discussing alternative fiber sources, Decoding Green Paper promises to be a learning experience for anyone interested in environmentally sound paper choices for any type printing.
Sustainable Printing has barely skimmed the surface of all the varieties of paper available to eco-conscious print buyers. I will certainly do a write up after the webinar of what I learned, but you can attend too! Decoding Green Paper is open to the public and completely free. Just click on the link at the beginning of this post and sign up!
